Easter 2009
We had Easter on Saturday at my parents house with my sister and her family. Seth got a nice basket heaped with new clothes and spent some time outside picking up eggs. Next year he might be into actually finding them. :o)

Few and Far Between...
...my posts have been. Sorry! Just not a whole lot going on here.
We are starting to look for another house. This process is frustrating so far. As soon as we see one we might like to walk through, we find out it's been sold. ha. Well, we trust the Lord's leading on this one so we don't even question it. He is setting aside the right home for us. Now to be patient. That's the tough part.
Seth has been his usual self. He's starting to climb more than ever and can now get himself up on a chair and sometimes the couch all by himself. He's been enjoying some of his wooden puzzles lately and I think is just as anxious to spend some time outside as we are. I went to the park today to take some photos for something I'm working on and I let him walk around a little bit as I stopped to shoot. Needless to say he was NOT happy when it was time to get back in the car. I reassured him that there will be lots of time for running around at the park.

18-Month Report
Today was Seth's 18-month check-up. As usual, he is doing well in all areas. Here are his official stats:
Weight: 27lbs. 10oz. (80th%)
Height: 34.25in. (90th%)
I am still amazed that he is is now in the 80th percentile. I remember when he was barely making it on the chart. Guess he just needed "real" food. ha. He got three vaccines today as well, and it went as well as expected. He fussed during but was over it immediately.
Seth is doing pretty well developmentally. He doesn't have much of a vocabulary yet, but the nurse said he is not behind by their standards...he has until he is 2 to have some words. He definitely understands what is going on, recognizes words and ideas. For example, if I say "blocks" he will look for or go pick up his bag of blocks. He will also hold up his socks and shoes to his feet. He knows when Evan or I is going to leave and doesn't like to see us go most times. He is beginning to show his temper and will stomp his feet when unhappy. So, he's behaving typically. He has a mouth full of teeth (probably around 16 teeth). Teething has been interesting. It throws him off with his sleep, his butt breaks out, and is an overall trying time. But, we manage.
The nurse said he had a sweet demeanor, and that's true. He loves to smile and laugh. Loves to "wrestle" with daddy. So, no worries here.

Ready for the Weekend?
Well, apparently Seth is ready for the weekend tonight. We went to Grandpa George and Grandma Elaine's for a couple days to help out with a project. It was fun to see them again!
Seth is a few days away from his 18-month milestone. He's doing well! I will post more details after his check-up on Tuesday.
