Meet our son!

Yep, he came early! I'm still in shock, but he's adorable. The stats:

Seth Evan Hammersmith was born Thursday, August 30 at 7:24 pm
6 lbs. 9 oz.
18.5 inches long

We're adjusting to home and trying to get the hang of nursing and sleeping.

Of course, some photos, enjoy!

SO glad everything went well. I can't believe he is here already. Makes it all so much more real to me...and we haven't even gotten the car seat out of the box yet...yikes.
Hope you are adjusting well and feeling better!

yep, glad he came early. besides getting to enjoy him sooner, the doctor who delivered him said i wasn't built to have big babies. The Lord and my body apparently knew that ...hate to know what would have happened at 38 or 40 weeks!

Does that mean you went into labor on your own or were you induced?

i went into labor on my own. i was 5cm dilated when i showed up at the hospital for my non stress test. i didn't think i was in labor because the back cramps i had were irregular. Then i went from 5 to 10 cm in just under 2 hours. it went very fast. i think the doctor made that comment because of my internal structures.
